About us

The Ukrainian Parliamentary Institute (UPI) is a team that helps develop a high-quality, open and democratic decision-making system in Ukraine. We work to ensure that parliament effectively represents citizens and that society has the tools to influence policy and hold authorities accountable.

What we do

We support the development of parliamentary democracy. We help the Verkhovna Rada strengthen its functions and politicians to work more professionally and responsibly.

We conduct research and legislative analysis. We monitor new laws, assess their quality and compliance with European standards.

We engage citizens and experts. We organize dialogues, consultations and educational events so that different groups of society can influence public policy.

We strengthen civil society organizations. We help them effectively advocate their ideas, defend community interests and monitor government activities.

We spread knowledge about democracy. We develop and conduct educational programs so that Ukrainians are informed and responsible citizens.

Our experience

We implement projects in partnership with parliament, government, international partners and leading universities. Our initiatives include analytical research, international dialogues on democracy, monitoring of European integration reforms and support for government policy transparency.
