The project strengthened the mechanisms of direct democracy in Ukraine by developing tools for citizen participation in the legislative process.

What we did:

  • Analyzed international best practices for referendums and popular initiatives
  • Developed recommendations for improving legislation on popular initiatives in Ukraine
  • Organized expert discussions with participation of MPs and civil society
